The easiest way to find out what went wrong is to check the client error log file. If you did not specify a path for the logfile, the client will create a file named
mount.xtreemfs-PID.log in the working directory (in which you executed the mount.xtreemfs). In this file, you will find log entries with the MRC or OSD error messages, e.g.
2009-12-11T10:01:10.000Z ERR: yield::ipc::Client: connect() to :32636 failed, errno=111, strerror=errno =
111, strerror = Connection refused.
In addition, you can check the error logs of the services. They are located in
/var/log/xtreemfs.
